REPAIRS & SERVICING
We provide a sewing machine servicing and repair service for sewing machines, embroidery machines, overlockers, embellishers and Brother ScanNCut machines.
We are members of the SEWING MACHINE TRADE ASSOCIATION (SMTA)
We are a service agent for Brother, Pfaff, Janome & Babylock but we can deal with almost any make and type of machine of any age. We deal with all guarantee work, for the machines we sell, on our own premises.
One of Our engineers, Steve or Claire, are available at most times to talk to you about any problem you are having with your machine and they can often give some idea of what is wrong and the approximate cost.
If you have a machine which needs attention, just contact us on 01502 714234 for details of our service.
Members of our BECSEW VIP club are entitled to a reduced price on all servicing & repairs. (Buying a machine from us at Beccles Sewing & Handicrafts is the ONLY way you can join the BECSEW VIP Club.)
All our repair and servicing charges are below national recommended charges
When we accept a machine for repair we charge a £20.00 inspection fee to cover initial work on the machine. This fee is not returnable but provided the job goes ahead it is deducted from the cost.
Example prices for servicing. (Inclusive of VAT)
All of our servicing & repairs prices are below national recommended rates.

Minor repairs are included in the price of a service, any parts required and large & complex repairs wil incur an extra charge, for which we will give a quote.
Please Note: We will NEVER add an extra charge to a service without asking you first if you wish us to proceed (except perhaps a small item, like a light bulb for example, which only costs a pound or two)
We are a bit old fashioned in that, when we replace a part in a machine, we will give you the part which we have removed from the machine. This practice is less common nowadays but was traditonally done, by reputable appliance repairers, as the customers guarantee that the replacement has been done.
We try to keep waiting time to a minimum but unfortunately Steve does sometimes get very busy (It is not unusual for us to get 6 or 8 machines brought in in one day) and, as he is very thorough and will not skimp on the time he gives each machine, this can add to the time we will have your machine.
