This is a  .pdf download of the instruction manual for the original Necchi Lydia  544 machine.

This is the type where the winder is at the front, right next to the hand wheel (see diagram). If your bobbin winder is on the end of the motor towards the back of the machine  then you have a mark 2 or 3 mahine & you will need to see one of the other listings.

This is the original Lydia. The most obvious differences from the later ones are the different position of the winder & the smaller thread spool pins . It  has the small round push button for reverse stitch.
